New Jersey's Core Collection

The United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit edu­ca­tional organ­ization which sup­ports the preser­vation of historic railroad equip­ment of state and regional importance to New Jersey.

The organization was founded so that the people of New Jersey could speak with one voice to preserve key railroad artifacts. The organization is governed by representatives of several NJ-based railroad historical societies, with the common goal of preserving the largest collection of New Jersey-centric historic locomotives and railroad cars.
